Access to healthcare, a challenging public health issue, influenced by political and socioeconomic factors, contribute immensely to poor healthcare outcomes in many communities across Nigeria.

The problem of differential access to primary and specialist healthcare can be addressed through community capacity development, social and financial support, healthcare management reform, etc.

Among many strategies for reducing healthcare disparities in Ulunya‐Ovoko, ASOBETA Educational Foundation will invest in local capacity development through support of medical education/residency training, engage in public health education, and creation of awareness to other healthcare related issues
